APRIL 2010 NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH REPORT
A report funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and released in April 2010 found that: The level of the evidence for cognitive training was rated high, but that for physical activity was rated low...for delaying or preventing cognitive decline.
Of the many factors reviewed, including diet and dietary supplements, physical exercise, social engagement, and other leisure activities, cognitive training was the only one found to have a high level of evidence for being associated with a decreased risk of cognitive decline.
This is very good news and additional reinforcement for those of us concerned with maintaining strong cognitive function as we age. The cognitive training offered by Keep Driving not only improves cognition but trains specifically to those cognitive functions most important to driving.
